#5. GROUP SPEECH GUIDELINES - ALL SPEECH CLASSES
Download the guidelines for you and your group members so you all understand the directions, and
point structure, for this speech. In addition, the topics are listed here, so choose one of the topics and be sure your
groups choose a FOR or AGAINST stance in which to defend. Everyone must agree. If there is a topic
your group is interested in, and it is not on the list, please let me know and if it falls within the guidlines, you may choose
away from the list.

Download and print this handout that explains the sequence used in persuasive speaking. This will help guide
you to ensure that you are following the proper steps when creating your persuasive message. There is still an element
of informative speaking, but remember in this type of speech we are attempting to change audience's atitudes, values, beliefs
and behaviors, therefore we need to follow this sequence to better persuade.
